Pahalgam is a town and a Municipal committee in Anantnag district in India\'s northernmost state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is a popular tourist destination, and every year, many tourists visit Pahalgam.
Sheshnag Lake is an alpine high altitude oligotrophic lake
situated at the track leading to Amarnath cave 23 kilometers from
Pahalgam in Anantnag district of Kashmir valley in the Indian state of
Jammu and Kashmir at an elevation of 3590 meters.
Aru Valley is a small yet self-sufficient scenic village located 12 km
from Pahalgam. The drive up to the village is alluring too. The location
of the village among the grasslands, make this place a tourist delight.
The Lidder River or Liddar River, is a 73 kilometer long river. It originates from the Kolhoi Glacier two kilometers south of Sonamarg at an altitude of 4653 meters.
